After a large-scale landslide and rockfall blocked the 48.9K Daman section of the Beiheng Highway (Provincial Route 7) in Fuxing District, Taoyuan City on the morning of September 7, the Highway Bureau rushed to open the access road at noon today (17th) and resume controlled traffic. Since the overall repair of the slope on site has not yet been completed, for safety reasons, the site will be open to traffic in one direction under surveillance and two-way control. The opening hours are from 1 to 2 pm every day. Small vehicles are restricted. In case of rain or unstable slope, the site will not be open to traffic.

The North District Maintenance Engineering Branch of the Highway Bureau recommends that road users who need to travel to and from Taoyuan and Yilan should still consider using National Highway 5 or Provincial Highway 9 to avoid travel delays. Passers-by are also asked to follow the instructions of the on-site control personnel, do not force the passage or stay, and please pass quickly to maintain safety. .
