Olympiacos draws 1-1 with Voloz, and Ayoub El Kaabi's injury raises concerns

A positive 1-1 draw decided the result of the match between Voloz and Olympiacos, as Gota Silva scored the only goal for Ayoub El Kaabi’s teammates with a penalty kick in the 45th + 1 minute.

The penalty kick from which Olympiacos scored came when Al-Kaabi fell, as the Moroccan international raced into the penalty area before colliding with Marios Siambanis, the Voloz goalkeeper, causing his injury.

Ayoub El Kaabi, who is considered one of the best players in Olympiacos and the Greek League, appeared in a state of sadness and appeared to be screaming in pain before the medical staff intervened to provide the necessary aid.

Al-Kaabi was forced to leave the field, carried on a stretcher, in a scene that caused concern among his teammates, the technical staff, and the fans, amidst anticipation to find out the severity of the injury and the duration of his absence from the stadiums.

During three seasons in the Olympiacos jersey, the Moroccan international striker played 133 matches, during which he succeeded in scoring 82 goals, in addition to assisting 14 goals for his teammates.

In the Greek Premier League, Al-Kaabi scored 54 goals, an average of 18 goals per season, and he also won the Greek League and Greek Cup titles with Olympiacos in 2025.
