Non-party legislator Gao Jin Sumei and his former office directors Zhang Junjie, Chen Zhixuan, and assistant Lin Yijun formed the "Ancestral Land Team" from 2005 to 2016, and introduced one. A huge sum of 700 million yuan was used to develop a communist espionage organization. Gaojin was also involved in cooperating with the CCP’s instructions to speak out, protest and influence the proceedings in Congress on important issues such as anti-arms purchase, cross-strait, diplomacy and national defense. The High People's Procuratorate yesterday prosecuted four people in accordance with the National Security Law and the Corruption Crime Regulations, and severely criticized them for seriously endangering my country's sovereignty integrity, national security and social stability. Gao Jin was asked to serve 14 years in prison and Zhang was asked to be sentenced to 15 years in prison.

During the investigation, Chen Zhiqian and Lin Yijun confessed to the crime and testified about the criminal circumstances of other accomplices. The prosecutor therefore recommended that the court impose an appropriate sentence. The two men in custody still pleaded guilty after being transferred to trial yesterday, and the High Court ruled that they should remain in custody for three months.

According to the prosecutor's investigation, Gao Jin and others integrated the tribal task force and the congressional team into the "Ancestral Land Team" and operated with a "one set of people, two signs" approach. Some people are responsible for domestic campaign affairs, while others are responsible for traveling across the Taiwan Strait to receive instructions. Zhang Junjie ostensibly used China's "donation of hometown tribal construction funds" as a resource to help Gao Jin go deep into his hometown, and privately received money from the CCP through accounts of relatives and friends. 700 million yuan was used to develop the communist espionage organization, and even sent people to receive united front training to develop the "fifth column" as internal agents of the CCP.

The prosecutor's investigation found that Gao Jin knew that the money given by the CCP "comes at a price", but still cooperated with instructions, organized a delegation to the United Nations to hold an anti-Japanese press conference, questioned the Japanese representative office about deleting the budget, or influenced the review of bills at the Legislative Yuan Procedure Committee, questioned the opposition to arms purchase cases, and voiced support for fine-tuning the curriculum at the committee. Prosecutors yesterday charged her with serious crimes of developing organizations for the Chinese Communist Party and accepting bribes on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party under the National Security Law.
