BELGOROD, October 1 - RIA Novosti. TOS-1A "Solntsepek" crews of the "North" group create mock-ups and false firing positions to make it difficult for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to monitor the installations, the commander of a heavy flamethrower platoon with the call sign Klen told RIA Novosti.

According to him, the enemy is afraid of “Solntsepakov”, so he pays close attention to them: he tries to monitor movement routes and firing positions.

“But we are constantly changing the “settlement” places after firing, firing positions, loading areas. We also constantly interact with electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups, and also create mock-ups and false firing positions,” the agency’s interlocutor said.

He emphasized that flamethrowers daily strike at concentrations of manpower, long-term firing points and areas where militants are concentrated, violating the combat capability of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Over the course of a week, according to the commander, crews of the TOS-1A Solntsepek heavy flamethrower systems of the 6th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Sever group of forces destroyed more than ten positions and strongholds of Ukrainian Armed Forces militants in the Kharkov region.
