In order to create a safe living environment for raising children, the Miaoli County Government cooperates with the central government to promote the "Youth Marriage and Parenting Rental Assistance Project" and provides "Child Care Safety Repair Incentive Fees" to tenants who participate in the third to fifth phases of the social housing leasing and hosting program and meet the qualifications of newlyweds or raising families. The maximum subsidy for each household per contract year is 6,000 yuan, the maximum subsidy is 3 years, and the total maximum subsidy is 18,000 yuan to help families improve home safety and reduce the burden of childcare.
The County Government's Industrial and Commercial Development Department stated that sharp corners of furniture, sockets, doors and windows, and indoor height differences may become potential risks for young children during their activities. Qualified families can purchase or repair child care safety facilities and equipment according to their needs, including safety gates, anti-fall mats, invisible iron windows and other anti-fall facilities, as well as furniture corner guards, anti-collision bars, anti-scald covers for faucets, thermos bottle guards, socket protective covers, child safety locks and safety detection equipment that meets regulations. The recipients of the subsidy must be the tenants of the third to fifth phases of the social housing leasing and hosting project, and must meet the qualifications for the marriage and childbearing project. Among them, "newly married families" refer to those whose marriage date is after October 1, 2025 (inclusive), and the application date is within 2 years from the date of marriage; "child-rearing families" refer to those who have registered children (including adopted children) born after October 1, 2025 (inclusive), or who are pregnant with the fetus on the day of application. Subsidies can be applied year by year according to the contract year, and the application is limited to once per contract year. If there are multiple purchases or repairs within the same contract year, the relevant expenditure vouchers should be compiled and submitted in one application.
Director of Industrial and Commercial Development Zhan Caiping reminded that people who have participated in the social housing leasing and hosting program and meet the qualifications of newlyweds or raising families can take the initiative to inquire with the leasing and hosting operators and apply for qualifications. After being reviewed and qualified, they can then apply for the child care safety repair incentive fee in accordance with the regulations, giving children more protection and parents more peace of mind.
