In addition, C, a juvenile offender, was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison and 2 years in prison, and one accomplice with relatively minor involvement was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison and 4 years of probation.

They were put on trial on charges of breaking into an officetel in Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do at around 3 a.m. on March 30, assaulting a Thai prostitute in her 50s and stealing a cell phone worth 2 million won.

It was discovered that the men, who met at a youth shelter and moved around motels, pretended to be prostitutes to raise living expenses and went to the officetel where the victim was and committed the crime.

Among them, Mr. B was charged with attempted extortion by threatening to extort money from his ex-girlfriend by threatening to "spread sex videos on the Internet" and received the heaviest sentence among them.

C was found to have committed dozens of crimes, including picking up someone else's ID card, renting a car, driving more than 100 km without a license, and stealing cash from a convenience store.

The court pointed out, "The defendants committed a number of crimes, such as planning to commit robbery against a woman engaged in illegal prostitution, then strangling her, subduing her, and stealing her belongings. In addition, they committed numerous crimes, such as stealing someone else's ID card, driving without a license, and threatening an ex-lover with an illegal video."

However, the reason for the sentencing was stated, "We took into account the fact that the cell phone that had been taken from the victim was returned, the fact that some defendants passively participated in the proposal, and the fact that juvenile offenders were included, as favorable circumstances."
