Spartan Obstacle Race 10th anniversary, final event returns to Tamsui Bali

The "Spartan Race" celebrates its 10th anniversary in Taiwan. Following the "Back to My Motherland" event held in Tainan in April, the final event of the 10th anniversary returned to Tamsui and Bali from October 10th to 11th. The century-old national monument "Huwei Tengtai" under the jurisdiction of the New Taipei City Tamsui Heritage Museum was used as the main gathering place. Warriors from home and abroad challenged the limits of physical fitness and willpower.

Since 2,500 people participated in the Thirteen Rows Museum in the first year, it has accumulated more than 180,000 people. In the past 10 years, Spartan has held 23 events in Taiwan, gradually developing from an emerging sport into a representative outdoor obstacle course event. The organizer held a pre-race press conference at the Huwei Terrace today. It was revealed that the biggest highlight of this event was that the obstacle challenge was brought to the Tamsui Humei Terrace for the first time. The track route passed through the Thirteen Rows Museum where Spartan first appeared on the stage 10 years ago. In addition to completing a number of physical tests, the contestants had to complete With obstacle levels, you can also go deep into the historical sites, review the history of Spartan in Taiwan, and experience the local history and culture on the spot, creating a new connection between sports and history. A spiritual fortress device for the 10th anniversary of Spartan is also set up for players and the public to take photos and check in.

This year’s event has attracted elite players from many countries to come to Taiwan to challenge, including Philippine OCR national player Sandi Menchi, who wrote outstanding results among Asian players in last year’s Spartan World Championships and won third place in the women’s elite group; as for Japan’s famous players Kato Hiroshi, Sugata Noma, and Austrian Constantin Schueler, who is striving for the 32nd Trifecta medal, they will all participate in the grand event next month.
