With the COP31 Green Technology Acceleration Program implemented in cooperation with BTM TEKMER and Emlak Konut GYO, 10 green technology startups will participate in the climate summit COP31. The project, supported within the scope of KOSGEB Acceleration Support Program, will bring together 10 startups for three months.
Startups working in the fields of climate technologies, energy efficiency, circular economy, sustainable building materials, water and carbon management and smart city solutions will have the opportunity to introduce the technologies they have developed within the scope of the program on the international platform.
The aim of the program is for startups to meet with important actors of the global climate agenda, develop new collaborations and establish connections that can carry their solutions to international markets.
10 ENTERPRISES OFFER TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS TO ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS
10 startups that will participate in the COP31 Green Technology Acceleration Program are developing technology-focused solutions to environmental problems.
"ALGBIO" purifies the wastewater of industrial facilities and data centers with microalgae, while capturing the carbon dioxide coming out of the chimneys in the same system and converting it into biomass. Another initiative, "ALL Smart Waste", optimizes waste collection routes of municipalities with smart waste management solutions supported by artificial intelligence and the internet of things (IoT). The initiative, which serves more than 10 public institutions with more than 2,500 sensors in the field, aims to reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
"Chitolastic" transforms chitosan, obtained by environmentally friendly methods from seafood waste and fungal biomass, into biodegradable bioplastic raw material. "Ecologica Sustainability" digitalises companies' emissions monitoring, reporting and reduction processes with the Carbon Management Platform it developed. The startup also offers sustainability consultancy, carbon footprint calculation and green certification services.
Focusing on energy and resource efficiency in buildings, "Fan Morph" provides natural ventilation and shading by adjusting itself according to sun, wind and rain conditions with its kinetic façade module inspired by nature. "G&D Cooling" aims to reduce energy consumption with its artificial intelligence-based software while converting the waste heat generated in industrial facilities into cooling with adsorption technology. "Gristek", on the other hand, is developing a smart system that purifies the gray water coming from sinks on site and allows it to be reused in toilet cisterns and cleaning.
"Harcy" transforms plastic bottle waste into heat and sound insulation boards that can be used in buildings. "Vegg Foods" also converts the chickpea crumbs resulting from chickpea processing into functional foods through fermentation, while developing products such as Aquafaba+, a plant-based egg alternative. "Tigerwood" opens a new area of use for hard-to-recycle packaging waste by transforming waste beverage cartons into composite panels that can be used in the construction and coating industry.
With this program, BTM aims to increase the international visibility of startups working in the field of green technology, to ensure that the solutions they develop reach new markets, and to strengthen the global connections of Turkey's climate technologies ecosystem.
"OUR AIM IS TO RETURN OUR INITIATIVES FROM HERE WITH CONCRETE COOPERATIONS AND INVESTMENTS"
