Film production companies Lucifer Productions and Storyworks announced on the 15th that filming for the Jeju all-location melodrama “Jeju Olrae,” starring Indian star actors Anushka Sen and Kang Hyeong-seok, has almost been completed.

Anushka Sen is one of India's most influential Gen-Z stars. She played Queen Lakshmibai in the Indian national drama 'Jhansi Ki Rani' and received favorable reviews for her lead role in the 2024 Amazon Prime Video original series 'Dil Dosti Dilemma'.

As of last March, Instagram followers were 38.7 million. It is reported that the total number of followers on all social networking services (SNS) exceeds 50 million.

This movie tells the story of singer Alicia (played by Anushka Sen), who loses the older sister she loved most in the world and, deeply hurt, comes to Jeju filled with memories with her. She meets Seonwoo (played by Kang Hyeong-seok), who was once a promising singer-songwriter, and comes back to life through music.

An actor who shines on stage but collapses inside, a musician who expresses everything through music but no longer sings. This is the story of two people who had to hide the most because they were in the most visible position.

Anushka Sen, who was cast as the lead, has been in Jeju since mid-April and has been filming with the Olle Trail and the sea in the background. Filming for 30 episodes will conclude on the 16th.

The production company announced that it is currently discussing screening with film distributors in 10 countries, including India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and the Middle East.

A production presentation will be held at the JW Marriott Jeju Resort on the 22nd with the cast and production crew, including the lead actor, in attendance.
