Hüseyin K., who was wanted for 12 years, was caught at the Kumburgaz hotel

Istanbul Police Department Public Order Branch Directorate Wanted Persons Bureau and Intelligence Branch Directorate teams started work to capture the fugitives who have been wanted for a long time.

HE WAS WANTED FOR 12 YEARS

According to the news of Habertürk reporter Mustafa Şekeroğlu, in the investigation, it was determined that Hüseyin K., who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the crime of "importing drugs or stimulants" committed in 2011, had been a fugitive since 2014. The police scrutinized where Hüseyin K. lived and who he was in contact with, having managed to hide his tracks for nearly 12 years.

HE LIVED WITH FAKE IDENTIFICATIONS

Research has revealed that Hüseyin K. used remarkable methods to avoid being caught for years. According to the findings of the police, Hüseyin K. used fake identities, did not keep any assets on his own, and arranged the places where he lived and the vehicles he used through his friends and family connections. With this method, the past life of the fugitive, who was considered to have tried to leave no trace in official records as much as possible, was also investigated.

FROM DATÇA TO KARASU, THEN TO KUMBURGAZ

In the police study, it was determined that Hüseyin K. had lived a wealthy life in Datça in the past. Information was obtained that Hüseyin K., who was later found to have moved to the Karasu district of Sakarya, disposed of his assets there and then came to Kumburgaz, Istanbul.

HIS WIFE'S MOBILITY DRAWED ATTENTION

Deepening the investigation, the Public Security Branch Directorate and the Intelligence Branch Directorate teams examined Hüseyin K.'s connections in his family and friends circle. Although Hüseyin K.'s official wife's normal life is centered in Kadıköy, her mobility in Silivri, Çatalca and Kumburgaz regions attracted the attention of the police. In this movement, he strengthened the information received that Hüseyin K. was around Kumburgaz. The teams followed this activity.

THE POLICE FOUND THE SITE WHERE HE STAYED

As a result of the follow-up, the site where Hüseyin K. stayed in Kumburgaz was identified. The police determined that the fugitive was not driving a vehicle registered in his name. It turned out that the vehicle used by Hüseyin K. was registered to a friend of his. After the vehicle was identified, the fugitive's movements were closely monitored.

HE WENT TO ACT A FRAUDULENT

When the date showed September 22, Hüseyin K. set out from Kumburgaz. The Wanted Persons Bureau teams followed him. Hüseyin K., who was wanted for about 12 years, was followed from Kumburgaz to Pendik. According to the information obtained, the fugitive's reason for going to Pendik was to meet a woman with whom he would flirt. Hüseyin K. entered a hotel in Pendik to meet the woman.

12 YEARS AWAY ENDED IN THE HOTEL

After Hüseyin K. entered the hotel, the police pressed the button for the operation. Police teams caught Hüseyin K., who had been wanted for 12 years, at the hotel in a movie-like operation and detained him.

Thus, the escape of Hüseyin K., who was determined to have used fake IDs, had no assets, and had disappeared for years by arranging his accommodations and vehicles through his relatives, ended in the hotel where he went to play womanizer.
