A person involved in the case of theft from SVO soldiers in Sheremetyevo admitted to participating in an organized crime group

A defendant in the case of theft from SVO soldiers at Sheremetyevo airport, Dmitry Boglaev, admitted that he was a member of an organized crime group (OCG) that collected payments from beggars at the airport in 2022-2024. The details were revealed to RIA Novosti journalists by lawyer Pavel Chigileichik.

According to the interlocutor, the defendant was indeed a member of the Lobnensky organized criminal community (OCC), which included collecting rent from beggars and using force to resolve issues with taxi drivers who were not members of the OCC and refused to pay rent for the opportunity to stay and work at Sheremetyevo.

Boglaev's defense attorney stated that his client knew about the activities of beggars at the airport, but had nothing to do with deceiving passengers. According to the lawyer, witnesses confirmed that Boglaev collected a fixed fee from beggars and did not manage them. At the same time, money could be collected from those who refused to pay using force. The lawyer emphasized that Boglaev’s very awareness of what was happening does not indicate his involvement in the crimes.

To confirm this testimony, the defense requested the interrogation of one of the leaders of the Lobnenskaya organized crime group, Alexey Kabochkin, whom the investigation considers the organizer of the scheme at the airport. According to investigators, the group members targeted SVO fighters arriving at Sheremetyevo as victims, and in most episodes they inflated the cost of taxi rides. If the victims refused to pay, according to the case materials, they were threatened with physical harm.
