Coach Jeong Yun-jin returns to the U-18 national team after 13 years... Confidence in winning while wary of Taiwan and Japan

Coach Jeong Yun-jin (Deoksu High School), who took over the leadership of the youth baseball team again after 13 years, showed confidence in regaining the top spot at the 14th U-18 Asian Youth Baseball Championship.

On the 6th, Coach Jeong said through the Korea Baseball Softball Association, "We need to stay alert," and was wary of "old enemy" Japan and "difficult enemy" Taiwan, but also said, "With our skills, we can win the championship. If the results do not follow, it is entirely the coach's fault. The players asked us to show their skills in the game as is," and posted a wish for the team to win the game for the first time in eight years.

This competition will begin on the 7th in Taipei, Taiwan.

Coach Chung, who selected the first match of the Group B against Chinese Taipei on the 7th as the de facto final, expressed his determination, saying, "We must win at all costs. If we lose, there is no next time," and added, "It is an all-out battle. If we can win the first game, we can be at an advantage."

Coach Chung, who led the U-18 national team in 2013 and finished in 5th place after losing to Japan (0-10) and Chinese Taipei (4-5) at the Baseball World Cup, also expressed his solemn feelings that he would definitely avenge the two countries.

Coach Jeong, who was toasted twice at this year's E-Mart Cup and President's Cup national championships and received Deoksu High School's 21st championship trophy, approaches this competition with a sense of responsibility for leading Korean high school baseball.

Coach Jeong said, "There is an assessment that Korea's amateur baseball skills are not as good as Japan's. However, I want to show that our baseball is not inferior to Japan and Taiwan. I am determined to do better because I have represented the amateur baseball coaches who are still working hard in the field. I will show the power of Korean baseball."
