One year after Takaichi's 'Taiwan remarks'... Despite Japan's appeasement gesture, China "must withdraw" (comprehensive)

Marking the one-year anniversary of Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's statement about 'intervention in Taiwan's emergency', the Japanese government reaffirmed that it respects China's position on Taiwan. However, the Chinese government has repeatedly urged Prime Minister Takaichi to immediately correct his erroneous remarks, and tensions between the two countries continue.
