16.8 tons of amphetamines seized in Sinaloa, Mexico, one of the biggest drug crackdowns since the government came to power

Agence France-Presse reported that Mexican Security Minister Omar Garcia Harfuch said that this batch of drugs was "one of the most significant blows" to the production of synthetic drugs by the Mexican government since President Claudia Sheinbaum came to power in October 2024.

Garcia stated in a statement that Mexican authorities discovered three clandestine drug manufacturing factories in the mountains of Sinaloa, one of which covers an area of ​​5,700 square meters. Sinaloa is the main stronghold of the Sinaloa Cartel.
