The Democratic Party of Korea and the government will hold a party-government conference at the National Assembly on the morning of the 19th to discuss the government's real estate supply measures.

It is expected that the party and government will discuss follow-up measures, including legislation, following the government's report on the August 13 real estate supply plan.

During this process, attention is being paid to whether there will be an exchange of opinions on the issue of developing Yongsan Park for housing supply.

During the January 29 real estate policy at the beginning of the year, the government announced that it would supply 2,500 households to Camp Kim, the site of the return of U.S. troops in Yongsan, by increasing the supply from the existing 1,400 households.

To this end, the amendment to the Yongsan Park Creation Special Act to relax the standards for parks and green spaces applied to Camp Kim sites adjacent to Namyeong Station and the Samgak area is pending in the plenary session.

The Democratic Party is considering a plan to process the bill at the plenary session on the 20th, but it has not been confirmed.

An in-house official said on the 18th, “The detailed agenda of the plenary session will be decided through consultation with the People Power Party.”

Furthermore, there is a possibility that the development issue of Yongsan Children's Garden and Yongsan Park as a whole will be discussed in the party and government.

Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Yun-deok, a member of the Democratic Party, mentioned on the 14th that they are considering using not only the Yongsan Children's Garden but also the entire Yongsan Park for housing supply.

A member of the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee said in a phone call with Yonhap News, "In the case of Yongsan, there are issues such as housing supply in the international business district, Yongsan Children's Garden, and Yongsan Park, but the terrain in which the three issues are discussed is different. This meeting is a regular meeting, and the Yongsan issue may be discussed, but it is not a meeting for that purpose."
