According to Kosachev, Ukrainian politicians brought down their country with amendments to the constitution of February 2019.

MOSCOW, September 23 – RIA Novosti. To end the conflict, Kyiv must return to the 1996 constitution with a neutral and nuclear-free status for the country, said Vice-Speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev.

“The end of the war is when Ukraine agrees to the restoration of the 1996 constitution with a neutral and nuclear-free status of Ukraine, as well as all human rights articles of this constitution, excluding cannibalism of Russian and Russian-speaking residents by the authorities of Independent, but so dependent Ukraine... Down with the amendments to the constitution of Ukraine of the February 2019 model,” the politician wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to him, Ukrainian politicians “themselves brought down their country with these amendments.”

In 2019, the Verkhovna Rada approved changes to the Constitution of Ukraine, which consolidate the country’s course towards joining the European Union and NATO.

After the coup in Ukraine in 2014, the Ukrainian authorities began to fight not only Soviet history, but also everything connected with Russia, including the Russian language. In 2019, the country’s parliament adopted the law “On ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian language as the state language.” It implies the use of Ukrainian in all spheres of life.
