Zenit defeated Krasnodar and became the leader of the RPL

St. Petersburg Zenit defeated Krasnodar in the tenth round match of the Russian Premier League (RPL). This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.

The meeting took place at the Ozon Arena stadium and ended with a score of 3:2 in favor of the guests. In the 40th minute, midfielder Maxim Glushenkov opened the scoring. Four minutes later he scored a double. In the 53rd minute, the team’s advantage was increased by striker Alexander Sobolev.

In the second half, the hosts' gap was reduced by midfielder Joao Batchi, who scored in the 55th minute. In the 71st minute, striker John Cordoba set the final score.

Thus, after ten matches, Zenit became the leader of the RPL, with 21 points. Krasnodar is in second place with the same number of points, but behind in additional indicators.
