Su Qiaohui established an overseas Taiwanese business support association and proposed three major visions for New Taipei

Su Qiaohui, candidate for mayor of New Taipei City of the Democratic Progressive Party, established the "Overseas Taiwanese Business Support Association" today (17th). Su Qiaohui said that overseas Taiwanese have always cared about Taiwan. No matter where they are in the world, Taiwan has always cared about Taiwan. It is Taiwan's voice channel and important bridge in the international community. She proposed the three major visions of New Taipei City as "interesting, friendly, and opportunities." She hopes that in the future, the city will use the power of the city to deepen the connection between New Taipei and overseas Taiwanese, so that the new generation overseas will be willing to return to Taiwan, get to know New Taipei, and seek development opportunities.

Su Qiaohui pointed out that she grew up in the context of the Formosa incident. At that time, overseas Taiwanese and international human rights groups actively campaigned for Taiwan's democracy. International pressure affected the subsequent development of Taiwan's democratization. Therefore, she understood the importance of overseas Taiwanese since she was a child. However, many second- and third-generation overseas living environments are different from their parents. She wants Taiwan itself to be sufficiently attractive to the new generation overseas. If she has the opportunity to serve as the mayor of New Taipei City, she will create a city that is "interesting, friendly, and full of opportunities" and make New Taipei an entrance.

Su Qiaohui said that New Taipei is rich in mountain and sea resources and cultural history, so she proposed the "New Crown Coast" and "Diamond Mountain City" tourism plans, hoping to create a recognizable city brand so that overseas young people can feel that "Taiwan is fun and New Taipei is interesting." Willing to come back; as for how to make New Taipei City a "friendly" city, because the new generation overseas may not necessarily be familiar with Chinese or Taiwanese. In the future, New Taipei City will provide more complete multilingual information and services, lower language and life barriers, and make overseas youth feel welcome in New Taipei City.

In addition, Su Qiaohui said that Taiwan's technology, manufacturing and cultural industries themselves are the most unique assets for overseas young people to develop their careers. New Taipei has a complete industrial cluster. In the future, it will continue to promote the construction of Dakanyuan Industrial Park, Danhai Science City and Medical Park, Xinzhuang National Film Center Sanjin Museum, Bali Taipei Port Smart Logistics Park, Banqiao Fuzhou Digital Software Innovation Park and other parks to create more opportunities for corporate investment and youth development.

Su Qiaohui pointed out that she hopes that the second and third generations overseas will not only return to Taiwan to visit relatives and travel, but also hopes that through urban governance, the relationship between the next generation overseas and Taiwan will not only come from the memories of their parents, but also the opportunity to find friends, stories and their own here.
