Manchester United loses the win to Everton in the final time 2-2

Slovenian substitute Benjamin Sisko believed that he had given his Manchester United team its second victory in the new season of the English Premier League, but Everton saved a point at home by equalizing 2-2 in the dead time through a substitute also, the newcomer Ainsley Maitland-Niles, on Sunday, in the third stage.

Veteran striker Jamie Vardy, who won the English Premier League title with Leicester City in 2016, joined Burnley in the Championship on a one-year contract.

The 39-year-old became a free player after leaving Cremonese following the latter's relegation at the end of last season to the Italian second division.

Vardy arrives at Turf Moor Stadium during a difficult period for Burnley, who are at the bottom of the Championship after five matches, failing to achieve any victory, in an extension of last season, which ended with them leaving the Premier League.

Vardy said: “This club has a football history and passionate fans that deserve a team that represents them and their city,” adding: “I look forward to getting on the field and helping the team move in the right direction.”

Vardy rose from the amateur playing field to playing a pivotal role in Leicester City's historic achievement of winning the Premier League title in 2016.

He also won the FA Cup with Leicester in 2021, and played 26 international matches in the England national team shirt.

After ending his 13-year career with Leicester after leaving the Premier League in 2025, Vardy scored seven goals in 29 appearances for Cremonese.
