2.3 billion TL illegal betting operation

14 suspects were detained in the illegal betting operation organized in 2 provinces, centered in Tekirdağ's Çerkezköy district. While it was determined that the suspects reached a transaction volume of 2 billion 302 million 93 thousand 506 lira, access to 14 websites was blocked.

In Tekirdağ, Çerkezköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's investigation into organized crimes, the suspects who were considered to have acted in an organized manner through illegal betting activities were followed.

According to the news in DHA, a financial investigation was carried out against 14 suspects in the study carried out by Tekirdağ Provincial Gendarmerie Command and Çerkezköy District Gendarmerie Command for the crimes of 'establishing an organization for the purpose of committing a crime', 'being a member of an organisation', 'laundering property values ​​resulting from crime' and 'opposition to law no. 7258'.

It was determined that the suspects reached a transaction volume of 2 billion 302 million 93 thousand 506 lira within the scope of illegal betting activities. 14 suspects were detained in the operation held in Tekirdağ and Istanbul. 14 suspects, whose procedures were completed at Çerkezköy District Gendarmerie Command, were sent to the courthouse.

While a large number of digital materials seized during the searches carried out at the suspects' addresses were confiscated, access to 14 websites determined to be linked to illegal betting activities was also blocked.
