The verdict pointed out that a fraud group headed by a man nicknamed "Brother Dong" engaged in investment fraud through Facebook in November 2024, and hired a number of members to act as drivers to withdraw victims' money. During this period, a supermarket clerk found something suspicious and took photos to report to the police. On December 27 of the same year, the branch alerted colleagues in the official LINE group that a man from a supermarket was suspected of being a driver, and asked the station to send a private car to ambush outside. Unexpectedly, police officer Gao, who was on vacation at the time, saw the message and tipped off "Brother Dong".

When the scam group learned that they were being targeted by the police, they immediately became vigilant. Instead of holding their hands, the senior officer continued to remind the other party: "If there is something that shouldn't be there, just collect it." The scam group immediately transferred the relevant funds and informed other members: "You must not do anything today. Working in the countryside." The Miaoli District Court admitted at first instance that the senior officer had confessed after committing the crime and had no previous convictions. He was sentenced to September and July respectively for the two crimes of leaking secrets. He should serve one year in prison and was suspended for four years.
