Late-night fire in Xinfeng destroyed 2 buildings and 5 people were rescued and sent to hospital

新竹縣新豐鄉忠孝街、知名「老兄」牛肉麵對面昨天深夜發生火警，2家店舖原因不明突然陷入火海，4大2小一度有5人受困，所幸最後都被救出，5人統統被送醫。

The county fire department stated that the two residential and store buildings that caught fire were four-story buildings, with each operating an ice cream shop and a noodle shop on the first floor.初步了解火勢起自一樓地面，2戶各有4人和2人受困，其中有1人自行脫困，其餘5人由消防員成功救出，因都有輕微嗆傷，脫困後5人立刻被送醫治療。

Since the incident happened after 10:30 pm, many people had already turned off their lights and went to bed. However, residents around the fire scene and even in the neighboring Yamazaki area were disturbed by the stench of the fire and couldn't sleep. They went online or went out to find out "where is the fire alarm" and "who is burning garbage?" etc., keeping everyone awake at night.

The fire was put out at almost half past 11 o'clock in the night. It will be possible to investigate and clarify the origin of the fire and the cause of the incident during the day.
