BELGOROD, September 16 – RIA Novosti. The Belgorod region received another tranche of two billion rubles for the purchase of new housing for residents of border areas, the funds will go to the accounts of almost 300 families, said acting governor Alexander Shuvaev.

“The government of the Russian Federation transferred to us another tranche of two billion rubles from the federal budget for the purchase of new housing for the affected border residents,” Shuvaev wrote in Max.

The acting head of the region noted that, on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, 297 families from seven districts - Belgorod, Borisov, Valuysky, Volokonovsky, Grayvoronsky, Krasnoyaruzhsky and Shebekinsky - will receive federal support.

“These are people whose homes were completely lost due to attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as residents of settlements closed due to operational conditions at the end of 2025. Funds will begin to flow into special accounts of the owners next week, after completing all the procedures,” Shuvaev noted.

In total, since the beginning of the SVO, out of 6,490 families who lost their housing, 5,636 owners have already received new apartments, houses, or funds in special accounts.
