Seongdong-gu, Seoul begins operating a 20-minute automatic shutdown system for civil complaints calls

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Jeong Joon-young = Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Gu Bo-hwa Yoo) announced on the 10th that it will operate a '20-minute automatic termination system for civil complaints calls' to prevent waste of administrative power due to long consultation calls and to protect civil affairs staff.

This system provides information in advance at the civil complaint call connection stage that 'the call will automatically end 20 minutes after the call begins.'

Afterwards, if the call time exceeds 20 minutes, an end announcement voice is transmitted and the call is automatically terminated by the system.

The introduction of the system occurred when District Mayor Yoo Bo-hwa immediately accepted an employee suggestion made at a meeting with civil affairs staff on July 31.

District Mayor Yoo said, “This system is the minimum device to protect employees from malicious complaints,” and added, “We will strive to provide better administrative services by strengthening the complaint response system at the agency level so that employees can work actively with peace of mind.”
