Daejeon City promotes comprehensive Chuseok holiday measures... 500 people put to work

Daejeon City announced on the 10th that it will promote the '2026 Chuseok Holiday Comprehensive Measures' from the 14th to the 27th.

500 people will be assigned to emergency work in eight areas, including creating a holiday atmosphere, stabilizing prices, improving the urban environment, stabilizing the lives of the common people, resolving living inconveniences, preventing safety accidents, establishing public service discipline, and promoting policies.

From the 15th to the 21st, a shopping event will be held at 7 traditional markets, including Taepyeong Market, and consolation goods will be delivered to 21,000 households of basic livelihood recipients, 312 social welfare facilities, and 6,900 seniors at senior welfare facilities.

To ensure smooth supply and demand of holiday items and price stability, a comprehensive price stability situation room will be operated, and a direct transaction market selling local agricultural and special products and ancestral rite supplies will be operated in the first floor lobby of City Hall on the 22nd and 23rd.

Daejeon Memorial Park operating hours will be expanded from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. from the 24th to the 27th.

In addition, in preparation for various safety accidents, the 24-hour emergency work system of the disaster and safety situation room and closed-circuit television (CCTV) integrated control center will be maintained, while safety inspections and fire safety investigations will be conducted on disaster-vulnerable facilities, high-risk multi-use facilities, and traditional markets.
