China News Service, Beijing, September 26 (Yunxin) From September 25th to 27th, the Hua Xia Bank 2026 Tour of Beijing Mentougou International Road Cycling Race was held in Mentougou District. This event is a 2.2-level Asian tour event certified by the International Cycling Union (UCI). It attracted more than 100 professional riders and 3,000 cycling enthusiasts from 21 teams from 11 countries and regions. The total course of the professional group exceeded 340 kilometers, allowing participants to appreciate the landscape, human resources, and regional development vitality of western Beijing during the race.
It is understood that this event is a core component of the 2026 Beijing West International Mountain Outdoor Season, and is also an important embodiment of the "BIKE Cycling" section of the outdoor fashion sports IP "Hyrbix".
This event lasted for three days and consisted of three distinctive stages: Zhaitang Endurance, Beijing West Mountain and City Circle, which comprehensively tested the riders' long-distance endurance, mountain climbing ability and high-speed sprinting level. Among them, the second stage held on the 26th - the Beijing West Mountain Stage is the stage with the most difficult climb and the widest range of participants in this event. The competition on that day consisted of three categories: professional group, National Fitness Cycling Tour (competition group) 39 kilometers, and National Fitness Cycling Tour (public group) 9 kilometers.
The professional group started from Keluotuo, Yongding Town, passed through Jietai Temple, Tanwang Road, Miaofengshan Road and other points, and finally arrived at Tianzhuang Village, Yanchi Town. The track is undulating and intertwined with continuous curves, which will test the driver's climbing ability, car control skills and team tactics. It is worth noting that the National Fitness Cycling Category introduces a stage timing mechanism for the first time. The completion results can be used as a reference for players’ daily training and resumption of riding challenges, achieving the dual-purpose effect of “having results during the competition and being able to resume riding on weekdays”, further promoting the popularization of cycling to the public.
Outside the competition venue, supporting event experiences, commercial formats and cultural tourism activities are highlighted, and the popularity of the event continues. Using the "Sports +" model to create a global immersive experience, the first Cycling Club E-Sports Challenge of King of Glory was launched. Multiple e-Sports competitions were staged on site, realizing a two-way integration of online e-Sports competition and offline cycling experience; "Wanxiangqi" challenge, Cosplay interaction and other trendy content are deeply in line with the preferences of the youth group; Haro, the event's official digital ecological partner, launched the "Battle in Beijing West" series of activities to bring 9 public events The riding challenge was combined with the West Beijing landmark check-in, extending the popularity of the competition period to daily riding scenes; the Hello Intercontinental Team Meet and Greetings invited cyclist representatives to communicate face-to-face with professional riders, share riding experience and technical skills, and build a communication bridge between professional sports and public enthusiasts; the "Kids Riding Beijing West" children's balance bike challenge attracted 500 groups of parent-child families to participate, driving family groups to deeply participate in the integrated scene of Beijing West's cultural, sports and tourism.
In addition, more than 30 special booths were unveiled, bringing together cycling equipment, special Beijing cuisine, cultural and creative products and other diverse business formats, allowing spectators and cyclists to immerse themselves in the fireworks and fashion sense. The event specially launched the "Return of Peaks" themed finisher medals and certificates. Competitors can use their participating bibs to visit seven major scenic spots including Tanzhe Temple, Jietai Temple, and Miaofeng Mountain for unlimited free tickets during the year, and deeply experience the unique charm of the blessed land in western Beijing outside the competition venue.
After three hours of fierce competition, Delbove Joris from France's Total Energy Racing Team won the second stage in 2 hours, 58 minutes and 48 seconds. He also wore the green jersey that symbolizes the sprint king. Because of his outstanding performance in this stage, this "post-2000" driver also wore the yellow jersey representing the first place in the overall score. After two stages, the polka-dot jersey symbolizing the king of the climb belonged to Callejas Santos of Thailand's Loka Insurance Silverbase Team, and the white jersey representing the best driver in Asia was worn by Fadil Rizki of the Jakarta Intercontinental Team in Indonesia.
On the 27th, the event will usher in the final battle - the city lap stage, which is also the most convenient for spectators to watch the race at close range among the three stages. Compared with the difficulty of climbing in the mountain stage, the flat urban track will test the team's tactical cooperation and finishing sprint ability. The final honors of this event will also be announced after the game.
It is reported that in the upcoming golden autumn of October, Mentougou District will host three top events, the UCI BMX Racing World Cup (Beijing Mentougou Station), the UCI Pump Track World Championship Finals, and the China Pump Track Cycling League Mentougou Station and Finals. It will continue to release the vitality of the outdoor sports industry, help Mentougou build a world-class "cycling mecca", create a national high-quality outdoor sports destination, and inject lasting momentum into the regional green and high-quality transformation and development.
