More than 3,000 contestants set foot on the Beijing-West Ancient Trail and unlocked the unique natural and cultural charm of West Beijing in competitive challenges. The number of participants in this event has reached a record high, and the track settings have been optimized and upgraded to cover cross-country enthusiast groups of all ages. It is not only a benchmark event in the field of domestic cross-country running, but also an important carrier for Mentougou District to promote the integrated development of culture, tourism, agriculture, forestry, and business.

As the opening event of the 2026 West Beijing International Mountain Outdoor Season, with the core theme of "Searching for the Known", this event launched six categories: 100 kilometers of Guxing Road, 70 kilometers of Wujin Road, 50 kilometers of Yanshang Road, 20 kilometers of Golden Hoof Road, 10 kilometers of Guxiang Road and Up&Up parent-child running. Among them, the Yanshang Road category, which combines track challenges and cultural heritage, is widely favored by elite runners. The Golden Hoof Track category, which focuses on lightweight experience, has female participants accounting for nearly 40%. The newly unveiled Up&Up parent-child running track has built an immersive sports scene for family groups to contact the mountains and wilderness, further extending the participation threshold of outdoor sports to all age groups.

The track system of this event has also achieved a landmark upgrade. The Jietai Temple stage has been included in the event route for the first time. Three long-distance routes, namely Ancient Xing Road, Wujin Road, and Yanshang Road, connect Tanzhe Temple, Jietai Temple, Guanghui Temple, Xifeng Temple and other ancient temples. The continuous ancient roads and ancient temples complement each other, paving a historical and cultural corridor for runners that spans thousands of years. At the same time, many tracks have added exclusive spots in the Baqi Cave Scenic Area. Players can go deep into the underground caves to complete the "travel" experience, and gain unique geological wonders to explore in addition to the ordinary mountain tracks.

The Up&Up themed market created on site brings together 45 merchants, covering diverse categories such as outdoor equipment, cultural tourism and creativity, Jingxi food, brand interaction and event commemorations. More than 10 catering merchants in Mentougou District provide exclusive consumption discounts to contestants; core scenic spots in the area such as Tanzhe Temple, Miaofeng Mountain, and Jietai Temple simultaneously launch ticket exemptions, discounts and other discounts.
