2026 Guangdong Golden Autumn Cultural Tourism Consumption Season kicks off, with contract value exceeding 20 billion yuan

China News Service, Guangzhou, September 11 (Reporter Cheng Jingwei) The 2026 Guangdong Golden Autumn Cultural Tourism Consumption Season and Cultural Tourism Industry Investment Promotion Conference was held in Guangzhou on the 11th. The projects of this conference have achieved fruitful results. According to statistics, a total of 106 units and 56 projects in 21 prefectures and cities in Guangdong have reached cooperation before and after the conference, with the contract value exceeding 20 billion yuan.

Among them, a government-bank-enterprise strategic cooperation signing ceremony and a major cultural tourism project signing ceremony were held at the event site. A total of 46 units and 25 projects signed on-site, with the contract value exceeding 11.5 billion yuan. Among major projects, for example, the Elong Hotel Technology Guangzhou Cultural Tourism Hotel Cluster Investment Cooperation Project reached an intention to sign a contract with a total amount of 1.5 billion yuan; the Zhongshan City Guzhen Town Center District Cultural and Commercial Tourism Project was officially signed on site with a total amount of 2 billion yuan.

The Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism has reached strategic signing agreements with Bank of Communications Guangdong Branch, Shanghai Jin Jiang International Hotel Co., Ltd. and other units. Among them, the Bank of Communications Guangdong Branch will provide an intentional support line of 30 billion yuan for the development of Guangdong's cultural tourism industry during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period.

On the same day, the 2026 Guangdong Golden Autumn Cultural Tourism Consumption Season was launched and will last until the end of October, covering the two prime periods of Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day. A total of 30 million yuan of cultural and tourism consumption subsidies will be issued to domestic and foreign tourists from Guangdong and local residents of Guangdong.

At the event site, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism launched a cultural tourism industry investment promotion and released more than 140 key cultural tourism investment projects covering 21 cities, covering the three major IP upgrades of "Nanhai No. 1", "Kaiping Diaolou" and "Danxia Mountain", as well as diverse tracks such as coastal resorts, forest health care, and industrial heritage revitalization, providing investors with a clear "Guangdong opportunity list."

In addition, a global solicitation announcement for the construction of Danxia Mountain into an internationally renowned tourist destination was released on site, soliciting publicity and promotion IP and creative solutions; the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Guangdong Provincial Local Financial Administration Bureau, and the Guangdong Provincial Branch of the People's Bank of China jointly launched the "Guangdong Run Cultural Tourism·Financial Empowerment" special action to further smoothen the connection channels between financial resources and the cultural tourism industry.
