The CSTO exercises “Interaction-2026”, “Search-2026” and “Echelon-2026” started in Russia

MOSCOW, September 27 - RIA Novosti. The command-staff exercise with the collective rapid response forces of the CSTO "Interaction-2026" and the special exercises "Search-2026" and "Echelon-2026" started at the Chebarkulsky training ground in Russia, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.

“Today in the Russian Federation, on the territory of the Chebarkulsky training ground, the opening ceremony of the command post exercise with the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization “Interaction-2026”, special exercises “Search-2026” and “Echelon-2026” took place,” the message says.

The ceremony was attended by the Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Hero of Russia, Colonel General Andrei Serdyukov, Deputy Secretary General of the CSTO Mirlan Turgunbekov, leaders of military contingents and invited officials.

“Increasing the combat potential of the CSTO Collective Forces, equipping them with modern weapons, military and special equipment, including unmanned systems, reconnaissance equipment, electronic warfare, and improving the organization of air defense are priority areas of activity during the period of the Russian Federation’s chairmanship in the organization,” the Ministry of Defense noted.
