Raid on Al-Aqsa Mosque by fanatic Israelis

According to the statement made by the Jerusalem Governorship, 260 Israelis entered the Masjid al-Aqsa from the Maghribe (Moroccan) Gate under the intense protection of the Israeli police, wandered around the courtyards in groups, organized provocative tours and performed loud religious rituals.

Fanatical Israelites performed Talmudic rituals by introducing herbal offerings into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa. Among these, it was stated that rituals such as imitating the so-called "Cohens' prayer", prostration and mass prostration were performed especially in the eastern region of the Masjid al-Aqsa.

The Jerusalem Governorship described these practices as a continuous violation of the existing historical and legal status quo in Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Israelis, who usurped Palestinian lands, increase their raids on Masjid al-Aqsa during Jewish religious holidays.

According to the peace agreement signed between Israel and Jordan on October 26, 1994, Al-Aqsa Mosque is under the auspices of the Jerusalem Islamic Foundations Administration, which is affiliated with the Jordanian Ministry of Foundations, Islamic Affairs and Sacred Affairs.

However, since 2003, Jews have been entering the holy temple accompanied by police, without the permission of the Administration, upon Israel's unilateral decision. Describing these entrances as raids, the Jerusalem Islamic Foundations Administration emphasizes that the sovereignty of Muslims has been violated.
