The 9th World Textile Merchant Conference 2026 opens in Keqiao, Zhejiang

China News Service, Shaoxing, Zhejiang, November 6 (Dong Yixin) The 2026 Ninth World Textile Merchant Conference kicked off in Keqiao District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province on the 6th. The "2027 World Textile Industry Trend Outlook" jointly compiled by the World Textile Merchant Conference Organizing Committee and industry experts from dozens of authoritative international organizations around the world was officially released on site.

With the theme of "Jingwei Internet·Inspiring the new future of global textiles", this conference focuses on core topics such as digital intelligence integration, green and low-carbon, industrial chain collaboration, and supply chain stability. It aims to call on global industry players to comprehensively promote the quality, efficiency, transformation and upgrading of the textile industry, while deepening pragmatic cooperation in the global textile field, gathering synergy for industry development, and seizing the transformation trends and development opportunities of the global textile industry.

"Keqiao will adhere to ecological leadership, vigorously develop bio-based recycled fiber, promote waterless dyeing and printing, digital printing and other processes, deepen the carbon footprint label certification pilot, and promote the comprehensive green development of the industry." Wang Qizhou, secretary of the Keqiao District Party Committee, said that the local government will vigorously implement the "artificial intelligence +" action, upgrade AI large models, expand new scenarios such as auxiliary design, process optimization and production decision-making, and create a highland for the textile industry empowered by artificial intelligence.

Sun Yize, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of Donghua University, gave a keynote report on "Exploration of Key Technologies and Applications of Embodied Intelligent Robots for Textile Scenarios", and economist Michel Ruimy, head of the French SPAK think tank, gave a keynote report on "Opportunities for the Development of Textile Industry, Trade and Enterprises under Global Economic Changes".

At the scene, the China-Italy AI Fashion Center and the China-France Fashion Innovation Center signed contracts. The Sino-Italian AI Fashion Center aims to integrate artificial intelligence into creative research and development, talent cultivation, visual marketing and other scenarios. The Sino-French Fashion Innovation Center will build a long-term communication and cooperation bridge around creative design, talent training, industrial exchanges and achievement display.
