Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) 2026 Conference opens in Jiangsu

China News Service, Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, September 9 (Liu Mengqing) The 2026 Conference of the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) opened on the 9th in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. With the annual theme of "Unite to Promote Public Security Governance and Inject Stability into a Turbulent World", the conference invited more than 2,100 people from 139 countries, regions and international organizations to participate.

The representatives participating in this conference have strong regional representation and cover many fields, including representatives from government departments, international organizations, well-known enterprises, professional think tanks, universities and scientific research institutions, and some countries’ envoys to China. During the conference, participating representatives will share their views, have in-depth exchanges around the conference theme, and respond to the concerns of the international community.

It is understood that the conference will release the "Global Public Security Index Report (2025-2026)" and the "Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) Annual Report (2025-2026)".

The conference will also hold 8 sub-forums on immigration management cooperation, international anti-drug cooperation, international anti-terrorism cooperation, network security, public security technology and equipment, international police education cooperation, tourism security, international security services and other fields, and organize participating representatives to visit the 3rd Public Security Technology and Equipment Exhibition.

Each sub-forum will also release outcome documents such as the "Regional Immigration Policy Dynamic Report", "Global Anti-Terrorism Partnership Action Plan and International Counter-Terrorism Cooperation Initiative (2026)", "Public Security Standardization Cooperation Initiative", and "International Police Education Annual Report" to promote the continued and in-depth development of global public security cooperation.

Since the first conference of the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) was successfully held in 2022, the forum has organized more than 30 sub-forums, seminars, roundtables and other activities, attended by nearly 8,000 representatives of governments, international organizations, and well-known experts and scholars.

It is reported that the conference is hosted by the China Friendship Promotion Association. The forum will take the 2026 conference as a new opportunity to deeply implement global security initiatives and global governance initiatives. In accordance with the permanent theme of "cooperation promotes security, security ensures development", the forum joins hands with the strength of all countries, pools the wisdom of all parties, continues to deepen the communication of governance concepts, policy docking and project implementation in the field of public security, continues to improve the global public security cooperation structure of consultation, co-construction and sharing, and plays an important role in promoting the development of global public security governance in a more fair, reasonable and efficient direction.
