The awards will be presented to their winners at a ceremony to be held on December 10, one of the most important dates in the Nobel tradition. The date of the ceremony coincides with the death anniversary of Alfred Nobel, founder of the Nobel Prizes, Swedish industrialist and inventor of dynamite. Nobel died in 1896.
