Russia has planned a two-stage indexation of pensions in 2027

The Russian authorities have planned to increase the pensions of working and non-working citizens in two stages in 2027. This was stated by Alexei Govyrin, a member of the State Duma Committee on Small and Medium Enterprises. The deputy’s words are quoted by RT.

We are talking about payments for old age, disability and loss of a breadwinner, the parliamentarian explained. From February 1, it is planned to index insurance pensions by 4 percent. An additional increase in the insurance part of payments (by 3.4 percent) is scheduled for April 1, Govyrin summarized.

The final amount of indexation of payments to pensioners will depend on a number of factors, including inflation for 2026, as well as the dynamics of the increase in salaries and Social Fund income per pensioner, the parliamentarian explained. Preliminary percentages can be further clarified, Govyrin concluded.
