Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll have extended their contracts with Aston Martin until 2027

Two-time Formula 1 champion Spaniard Fernando Alonso (45 years old) and Canadian Lance Stroll (27 years old) have extended their contracts with the Aston Martin team for the 2027 season. Sports.ru reports this with reference to the team’s press service.

Alonso has represented Aston Martin since 2023. At the end of the current season, the Spaniard scored three points and is in 19th place in the individual drivers' standings. Stroll has been racing for the team since 2019, when it was called Racing Point. The Canadian has 12 points and 16th place in the standings.

Alonso made his Formula 1 debut in 2001. In 2005 and 2006, he became the champion with Renault. During his career he also played for McLaren, Ferrari and Alpin. The Spaniard holds the Formula 1 record for the number of races held - 440 starts.
