US Vice President Vance revealed in a recent interview that President Trump often tested his intentions for the 2028 presidential election with him both privately and publicly, but he emphasized that he did not think much about it and would wait until after the midterm elections before making a formal assessment. He confidently said that if he decided to run for president, he believed that Trump, a Republican heavyweight, would support him.

According to the New York Post, Vance said in an exclusive interview with "CBS Sunday Morning" that although he has never taken the initiative to mention the 2028 election, President Trump likes to talk about political topics, especially the next presidential election, and often talks about succession whether in private or in public.

The report pointed out that Trump publicly joked about the successor last month, asking supporters whether they preferred Vance or Secretary of State Rubio, and jokingly said that the two were "a good combination."
