[Reporter Cai Shuyuan/Taichung Report] The construction project of the Third Medical Building, Medical Technology Building and Medical Dormitory Building of Taichung Wing General Hospital is large-scale, with a total contract value of more than 10 billion yuan. Among them, the progress of the Third Medical Building project has been completed at 37% and is expected to be completed in 2028. It will provide more than 800 hospital beds, which will greatly relieve the medical and hospital bed capacity of Wing Wing.

Zhou Yuanhua, Vice President of Zhongrong, said that the construction of the Third Medical Building has started in 2023 and is currently progressing steadily; the medical science and technology building and medical dormitory building are expected to start in October this year, and are undergoing environmental assessment, urban design review and construction license application. They are expected to be opened in four and three years respectively.

Integrity, security and public safety are listed as the highest standards in all projects to ensure that the projects are both efficient, quality and safe.

Zhou Yuanhua said that the hospital recently held a liaison meeting and education training on the Procurement Integrity Platform for the Construction of the Third Medical Building, Medical Technology Building and Medical Dormitory Building, inviting procuratorial, anti-corruption, investigation, occupational safety agencies and contract-performing manufacturers to communicate and jointly control the procurement mechanism and implement public safety. The hospital uses an open and transparent procurement mechanism, complete occupational safety management and cross-agency cooperation to create a public construction with both medical resilience and sustainable value.
