Lavrov declared “harakiri” in Europe due to the refusal of Russian energy resources

Europe is committing hara-kiri to itself by refusing to purchase and use Russian energy resources. This statement was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a meeting with students and teaching staff of MGIMO, a Lenta.ru correspondent reports.

“In the current situation, when Europe commits hara-kiri to itself and chooses to suffer, we began to sell [energy resources] to those who are reliable. If Europe wants to buy American liquefied natural gas (LNG) at $800-900 per thousand cubic meters, then what can we do about it?” the diplomat said.

Lavrov also noted that Russia “has no fuss” when choosing foreign buyers of domestic energy resources. According to him, at the moment there are “enough buyers” for Russian LNG.
