Negotiations between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio are scheduled in New York on September 23. This follows from the work schedule of the American official.

The start of the meeting is scheduled for 16:00 Moscow time, which corresponds to 09:00 US East Coast time. At the beginning of the negotiations, a protocol filming is expected.

Before this, it became known that the meeting, in particular, would touch upon issues of bilateral cooperation at the UN. The ministry noted that Russia and the United States, as permanent members of the Security Council, have significant potential for developing interaction, but so far it has largely not been realized.
