Taiwan baseball team beat China to win Asian Games bronze medal, 24 players received a total of 21.6 million in bonuses

[Reporter Gong Naijie/Comprehensive Report] In the Nagoya Asian Games baseball event, the Taiwanese team defeated the Chinese team this afternoon to win the bronze medal. Each bronze medal player received a national bonus of NT$900,000, and the 24 members of the team totaled NT$21.6 million.

The bronze medal won by the Taiwan team is the fourth in team history since 1994, 1998, and 2018. It is also the 10th consecutive Asian Games baseball medal since 1990. The team has accumulated 2 golds, 4 silvers and 4 bronzes in team history. The Chinese team has finished fourth in 10 games in the past 36 years, and it is difficult to break the "old four curse".

The Asian Games baseball championship game will start at 5:30 pm Taiwan time. Japan and South Korea will compete for the championship. Both sides have selected new starters Guo Bin and Higuchi. The South Korean team seeks revenge after being shut out 0-5 in the Super Cycle, challenging for its fifth consecutive Asian Games baseball gold medal.
