Zhao Leji said that this meeting reviewed a total of 10 draft laws, passed 5 of them, decided to approve 1 agreement, reviewed 5 special work reports of "one government and two courts" and 3 law enforcement inspection reports of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, and successfully completed various agendas.

Zhao Leji pointed out that the formulation of the Procuratorial Public Interest Litigation Law is of great significance for better safeguarding national interests, protecting public welfare, and promoting comprehensive rule of law. The formulation of the Antarctic Activities and Environmental Protection Law will help my country better participate in the global governance of Antarctica and promote the high-quality development of Antarctic undertakings. The formulation of the Anti-Cross-Border Corruption Law provides legal guarantees for preventing and punishing cross-border corruption, creating a market-oriented, legal and international first-class business environment, and participating in global anti-corruption governance. Revision of the Water Law is of great significance for achieving sustainable utilization of water resources, ensuring national water security, and promoting high-quality economic and social development. The meeting conducted a second review of the drafts of the State-owned Assets Law and the Financial Law, and a first review of the draft amendments to the Criminal Procedure Law and the Renewable Energy Law and the Tax Collection and Management Law. It is necessary to carefully study the opinions and suggestions put forward by all parties and further revise and improve the draft laws.

Zhao Leji pointed out that the meeting reviewed and approved the agreement on the establishment of the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization. The content of the agreement complies with the basic principles of Chinese law. Ratification of the agreement will help promote political mutual trust among all parties, build policy consensus, expand practical cooperation, and promote the construction of a fair and reasonable global artificial intelligence governance system.

Zhao Leji pointed out that the Fifth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China is a very important meeting held during the critical period of basically realizing socialist modernization.
