Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi plans to visit Russia at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Indian Foreign Ministry announced this following a meeting between the two leaders, TASS reports.

The department recalled that Putin invited Modi to participate in the 24th annual Russian-Indian summit. “The Prime Minister accepted the invitation,” the Indian Foreign Ministry noted.

The timing of the summit will be agreed upon through diplomatic channels, taking into account mutual convenience.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the BRICS+ summit held in New Delhi. The meeting of the leaders took place at the summit site at the Bharat Mandapan Convention and Exhibition Center in New Delhi.
