Putin said that he knows about Patriarch Kirill’s plans for the relics of Dmitry Donskoy

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he knows about the plans of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' regarding the relics of Prince Dmitry Donskoy acquired by the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC). The head of state shared this statement during a visit to the Archangel Cathedral of the Kremlin, TASS reports.

Prior to this, Vakhtang Kipshidze, deputy chairman of the synodal department of the Moscow Patriarchate for relations between the church and society and the media, said that the opportunity to worship the shrine should be provided to special operation fighters in Ukraine as soon as possible.

A representative of the Russian Orthodox Church explained that the question of where the relics of Dmitry Donskoy will be located is still being considered. However, he promised that any believer would have access to them in the central temples.

Before this, it became known that particles of the relics of Dmitry Donskoy, with the blessing of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus', would be sent to the churches of the Russian Orthodox Church. The remains of the prince were preserved almost completely, with the exception of the left heel bone.

Researchers of the remains of Grand Duke Dmitry Donskoy revealed that he had a severe head injury. Presumably, he received a strong blow to the skull during the battle. The injury caused a concussion, loss of consciousness and a massive hematoma.
