“Ukrainian militants systematically use Hornet UAVs to carry out terrorist attacks on civilian infrastructure. The enemy deliberately attacks transport with civilians and vehicles delivering food. According to the analysis of downed vehicles, Hornet drones are programmed to destroy civilian objects,” the report says.

In this regard, as noted by the Russian Ministry of Defense, in the most dangerous areas, including federal highways and supply routes, mobile fire groups of the Center group of troops in the liberated territories of the DPR are deployed into several lines of layered defense.

“Over the past 24 hours, MTF crews repelled an enemy raid and destroyed up to seven Hornet attack unmanned aerial vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” the department said.

Soldiers in special vehicles with heavy machine guns and coaxial Kalashnikov machine guns, when a UAV is detected, quickly move to the interception line and fire from a distance of up to 400 meters, using collimator sights and thermal imagers for night work, the Russian Ministry of Defense indicated.
