Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality announced the traffic regulation to be implemented on Osmangazi Bridge within the scope of the International Osmangazi Republic Race to be held on the occasion of October 29 Republic Day.

According to the statement made by the municipality, the Dilovası-Altınova route will be closed to vehicle traffic at 04:00 on Thursday, October 29, 2026. The route is planned to be reopened to transportation at 18.00.

Traffic regulation will be applied on the bridge due to the International Osmangazi Republic Run.

The hours announced for the Dilovası-Altınova route are as follows:

Closing to traffic: Thursday, October 29, at 04.00

Opening to traffic: Thursday, October 29, at 18.00

During the organization, outbound and return traffic on the bridge will be provided via alternative routes.

Traffic and transportation regulations will be carried out in coordination with relevant public institutions and bridge operation.

The International Osmangazi Republic Run, which will be held with the motto "We are Running in the Türkiye Century", will start at 10.00 on Thursday, October 29.

Athletes from 19 different countries are expected to participate in the organization, where a total of 6 thousand participants are targeted.

As part of the event, a 10-kilometer race and a 5-kilometer public run will be organized.

The 10-kilometer race, which will start from Diliskelesi Bridge Connection Road, will start at 10.00.

The 5-kilometer public run will start at 10.05.

While the public race ends at the point where it started, the finishing point of the 10-kilometer race will be the Bilisim Valley event area.

The races are planned to be completed at 12.00, and the award ceremony will be held at 12.30 in Bilisim Vadisi.

During the traffic restriction that will be applied due to the race, drivers will be directed to alternative routes.

Coordination will be ensured between relevant institutions in order to ensure uninterrupted transportation and to complete the organization safely.

While the necessary marking and guidance works are carried out on the race track, separate turning points will be created for 5 and 10 kilometer runs.
