Espanyol draws with Sevilla in the last moments, Marseille loses to Paris FC, and Alcarras advances in the US Open tennis

Espanyol tied in the last moments with its guest Sevilla, 1-1, on Sunday evening, in the fourth round of the Spanish Football League.

Sevilla raised its score to seven points in sixth place, on goal difference behind Atletico Madrid in fifth place, and on goal difference behind Osasuna, which is in seventh place.

On the other hand, Espanyol raised its score to four points in eleventh place.

The match witnessed Aruna Sanganti, the Sevilla player, being sent off in the 56th minute, and his team completed the match with ten players.

Despite this, the visiting team succeeded in scoring the lead goal in the 85th minute through Lukas Stasin, but Marcos Fernandez equalized for Espanyol in the eighth minute of stoppage time in the second half.

Olympique Marseille disappointed its fans by falling at home to Paris FC with a score of 2-3 at the end of the third round of the French Football League, on Sunday evening.

The Parisian team surprised the hosts with a very early goal, scored by Lassen Senayuku just 23 seconds into the match that was held at the Velodrome Stadium.

But Marseille corrected its situation with the equalizing goal by Algerian Amine Gouiri in the eighth minute.

The guests continued to embarrass Marseille, as Senayoko added the second goal for him and his team in the 19th minute, ending the first half with Parisian leading.

Gouiri returned to correct Marseille's path with a second goal in the 53rd minute.

However, Lasin Senayuku completed the hat-trick with a goal from a penalty kick in the 89th minute, giving his team three valuable points away from home.

With this result, Paris FC raises its score to 7 points and rises to third place, while Marseille suffered its second loss in a row, freezing its score at 3 points and falling to eleventh place.

In the next round, Marseille will play a difficult match away from home to Rennes on Friday, while Paris FC will host its counterpart Olympique Lyonnais on Saturday.

Spaniard Carlos Alcarras defeated American Tommy Paul, ranked twentieth, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4, in a match full of strong strikes on Sunday, to reach the quarter-finals of the US Open Tennis Championship, hoping to defend his title.

Alcarras, winner of seven major championship titles, regained his best form in New York after an absence of nearly five months due to an injury to his right wrist, and achieved his 18th successive victory in the major tournaments thanks to an amazing performance in hitting the ball against another player who is distinguished by his powerful strokes.

Alcarras' serve was under pressure in the third game when Paul fired a stunning 100mph forehand around the net, sparking excitement from the Arthur Ashe Arena crowd, but the Spaniard held on well before striking at the decisive moment to take the first set.

Alkaras (23 years old) played a strong shot with the diameter of the court and quickly took a 2-0 lead, before he exchanged a break with Paul, and easily passed through the remaining games to achieve an overwhelming lead.

Although most of the fans on the main court hoped that an American player would win the title, second seed Alcarras continued his strong performance, and came close to achieving his 13th victory over American players in the last four major tournaments without any loss.

After he slowed down his playing pace, his performance fluctuated for a while near the end, but he gathered his strength to deliver the final blow and book his date in the next round with the American Ben Shelton or the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas.
