Democratic Party Kim Min-seok "actively supports President Lee Jae-myung's role as a pacemaker toward North Korea"

Party diplomacy, especially in the US, is different from government diplomacy, and allows dialogue with the (US) opposition party.”

He said, “The (US) midterm elections are scheduled for November, and as promised during the national convention, we will immediately pursue party diplomacy by visiting the US, China, and Japan within the year.”

Representative Kim also announced that he decided to create an intra-party task force (TF) to support the successful hosting of the '2026 Gangneung Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) World Congress' to be held in October, which is the biggest pending issue in Gangneung.
