Prosecutor Xu Shuhan of the Tainan District Attorney's Office stood out after rigorous selection and was selected as the "Model Civil Servant of the Ministry of Justice", which is known as the highest honor for civil servants of the Ministry of Justice. He received public commendation and award from Justice Minister Cheng Ming-chien at the Ministry of Justice this afternoon (25th).
Prosecutor Xu Shuhan is the 53rd graduate of my country's judicial officers. He has more than 10 years of experience as a prosecutor. He has served in the Southern District Prosecutor's Office's special teams for cracking down on livelihood crimes, public prosecutions, black money, and national security. He is known for his seriousness and accuracy in handling cases. He has faced many major domestic and foreign high-profile cases, such as the case of submarine cables being damaged by China's expediency ship, and the former The Nan City Speaker’s corruption case, the case of illegally absorbing hundreds of millions of dollars, the Tainan High-Speed Rail TEDA coin robbery case, and the 1.6 billion yuan gambling water house case, etc., all demonstrated the prosecutor’s characteristics of calm command of the investigation team, careful evidence collection, accurate application of the law, and prompt and appropriate investigation. All the cases were supported by the court, quickly concluded or sentenced severely.
In particular, the case of submarine cable damage has received more attention, exclusive interviews and recognition from domestic and foreign media. The investigation experience has been shared and law amendments have been advocated at many meetings held by domestic and foreign agencies. In addition to benefiting relevant units and carrying out various prevention and improvement measures, it has also ultimately led to the revision of my country's "Seven Submarine Cable Laws". It shows that in addition to investigating cases, prosecutors can understand important issues and provide suggestions, and they play the role of legal guardians and promoting public welfare.

This award is not only an affirmation of Xu's personal professional performance, but also demonstrates the prosecutors' continued efforts and achievements in safeguarding national security, eradicating corruption and preventing fraud, stabilizing financial transaction security, and combating fraud under the heavy burden and pressure of cases.
