Before his visit to Belarus, US President Donald Trump's special envoy John Cole arrived in Lithuania, where he met with the country's Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys. RADIOR writes about this in its Telegram channel.

In addition, Budrys and Cole discussed underground tunnels on the Belarusian-Polish border, which, according to the Lithuanian diplomat, are allegedly used to smuggle migrants. The meeting of officials took place in Vilnius.

At the end of August, Cole told The New York Times (NYT) that he expected a “major trade to happen soon.” Later, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko confirmed that Trump’s man would arrive in the republic on Tuesday, September 15.
