Man dies on hospital grounds in Toyokawa City, Aichi Prefecture; three people arrested on suspicion of robbery resulting in death

In April, an Iranian man (41 years old at the time) was found collapsed on the grounds of Toyokawa City Hospital in Toyokawa City, Aichi Prefecture, and was confirmed dead. On the 4th, prefectural police announced that they had re-arrested three people, an unemployed man of Iranian nationality (49) with no fixed residence, a Brazilian national and an unemployed man (37 years old) from Kani City, Gifu Prefecture, and a woman (37 years old) on suspicion of robbery resulting in death. Prefectural police have not confirmed their approval or disapproval.

According to the Toyokawa Police Station Investigation Headquarters, the three conspired with their friends to beat a man with a wooden bat in the Shinshiro parking area of ​​the Tomei Expressway (Shinshiro City, Aichi Prefecture) in the early hours of April 3, and assaulted a 28-year-old female acquaintance of the man who was with them, including pulling the arm. They are also suspected of forcing the man into a car and assaulting him on the way to Toyokawa Municipal Hospital, stealing the man's wallet containing approximately 18,000 yen in cash, two mobile phones, and a woman's mobile phone, resulting in a series of assaults that caused the man to die from respiratory and circulatory failure.
